“My business, Loxleys, has been trading since 1854 so I saw myself very much as a custodian of the business. Using Richmond to sell my business was ideal. Their network of contacts meant that I did not need to market the business extensively. Paul Holohan found a strategic purchaser and negotiated a deal that I was happy with. The business has gone on to thrive under the new owners which pleases me. ”
Tim Carrington, former owner/MD of Loxleys Ltd
“I’d known Paul Holohan and Richmond for several years before I decided to sell my printing business. Their industry knowledge was critical in advising me of my options which they did in “easy to understand” language. It was a straightforward process and I would recommend Richmond if you wish to sell your business.”

FREE Business Evaluation
This is not a basic appraisal. It is an ‘evaluation’ not only advising on the value of the business but also on the likelihood of a sale, how to time your run and issues to be addressed in order to unlock hidden value. We will analyse the whole business and advise if we think it is saleable and whether we have current interested parties on record. This is a great way to explore your options without committing. The free business evaluation provides:
- An approximate valuation. How much is my business worth?
- Highlight any barriers/obstacles to selling
- Likelihood of sale
- Next steps

We value businesses all the time for owners and other professional advisers and note that many vendors are given false hope on business valuations by brokers simply to secure the customer. Consequently their business never sells. We use our own in-house developed Acquis valuation model using several different methods to give an accurate valuation that ensures a realistic asking price when you decide to put your business on the market. We look at a range of factors when reaching a valuation looking beyond just historical accounting information.
We will also update this for free anytime in the future should you decide not to proceed with the sale right now.
